The following are symptoms:
- Causes red face, acne like symptoms on cheeks, nose, chin or forehead.
- Small visible blood vessels on the face
- Pimples and bumps on the face
- Watery and irritable eyes
- Swelling, stinging, dryness and plaques may appear
- Individuals with fair skin are at the greatest risk

- Hot and cold weather
- Wind
- Exercise
- Alcohol
Treatment
Medical therapy with oral antibiotics and topicals may be used to bring rosacea under control, and the maintenance therapy with long term topicals is used to keep it under control.
Special Light Sources (Light Heat Therapy - IPL or Lasers) can be used to get rid of the blood vessels and the facial redness.
Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) can also be used to treat the redness. Patients will see a progressive reduction in redness with every treatment
